My
music ability is the fruits of the efforts and
patience of many people including my mom and dad,
Grama and Grampap, and
others in my family who
nurtured and cultivated the talent God had given
me. As I reflect back,
I remember wanting to quit the high school band.
However, those were the strong years of my learning
and so I would like to send a big thank you to my dad who
said, “no way,” when I wanted to quit that high
school band way back in 9th grade. Thanks
for all the hours you spent with me and my guitar in
the living room and on the front porch when I was
growing up.
Each song that I record, each song that I play, is
because of someone; yet overall, every song is
dedicated to God, for it is Him that has
given and sustained the talent I have. It is up
to each of us as individuals to exercise and develop
our talent so it can be used for His glory! Therefore,
I have dedicated my overall work, music, and this web
site to my Lord and say, “Thank you for all the
people of influence, for the talent, and love, for all
the roads I had to travel, for it’s these roads that
taught me the things I’ve learned, for all the
opportunities I’ve had and even for the ones I’ve
turned down. I thank you Lord for the wisdom you
imparted to my Dad, Grampap, Uncle, and others who I
know were instruments in your hands.
Father, I lift you up and ask that you use what
you've given me to draw others close to you, to touch
hearts and lives, to stir the inner being of others so
they may know that you are God.
Last but not least I thank you for letting me
experience the great joy and pleasure in glorifying
you with this old guitar; in the matchless name of my
Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.”
