Overview

I have put together a couple of my favorite guitar licks here on the Internet.  I have found in my years of learning, that hearing what you want to play can make the learning so much easier; therefore, I have high hopes that in the near future I will also be adding the sound clips to these licks.

Although these riffs at first glance seem somewhat complicated to play, I have simplified each so that even the freshest of beginners will understand.  If you read the description, you will have no trouble finding the notes, where to start, where to end, but mostly you'll find a simplistic method of learning how to enhance your musical ability, a bridge (if you will) to fill the gap in what makes the difference towards adding enjoyment to your music.

Music can be very colorful, depending how it is presented.  I will demonstrate a few techniques that I have learned over the years to help you give some very nice colorful tones to your playing.  Since the age of 13, I have been a guitar player.  I hate to admit it, but this adds up to  34 years and that lets you know how old I really am.  ha ha.  Anyhow, all this experience is a waste without being able to share it.  This will be my ultimate attempt.  I fear however, I have forgotten more than I care to admit, yet will share with you some of the most important basics, and the chords, and colorful tones that you will be able to use.  I am in the process now of compiling a directory of licks, scales, runs, and things of this nature as so you will have the learning power at your very own fingertips.  I do not expect to have this completed for at least a few months, however, when it is finished, you will be the first to know.  Just send me an e-mail to let me know you will be interested.

The Basics:
Good for even the most proficient player!

When one thinks about basics, the first thing that might be thought about is the beginner.  However, this is not always true to form as you will shortly learn.  Basics are more foundational, which yes one should begin with, yet not always meant for the player who is just starting to learn how to play.  My guess is that we all learn the beginner basics, yet what I am about to show you is far beyond those kind of things.  I will assume that if you are a guitar player, you already know how to hold the instrument and a pick, and that you have already accumulated somewhat of a style that you are comfortable with.  Thus, we will move directly into the other important matters of making music.  Lets proceed to lesson 1.
